What’s your favourite mixtape ever?

My favourite mixtape is ‘15th Day’ by J Hus

Why is it so significant to you?

The mixtape became a soundtrack to my life, it was all I listened to and you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing it getting played. I would be walking up Linthorpe Road in Middlesbrough and I would be hearing cars drive past playing it at full blast. Was really a moment for everyone I think.

Were there any artists or producers that you discovered through this tape?

The producer I discovered on the mixtape was JAE5. I think him and J Hus are the perfect combo and their chemistry was incredible on the mixtape.

Where exactly were you when you heard the mixtape for the first time?

I was at my friend’s studio and he was showing me some of J Hus’ freestyles, when he realised I was feeling it he showed me the full mixtape.

Did it come into your life at a significant time?

2015 was a massive year for me considering all the changes that were happening around me.

How did the mixtape cover make you feel?

I think the mixtape cover was quite iconic. It was Hus standing in front of a brick wall with ‘’15th Day’’ written on it. To be completely honest it made me wonder what the title of the mixtape mean. It had me wondering about the significance of number 15.

Describe the mixtape in three words?

Bangers, Bangers and Bangers.

What song is your personal favourite?

‘No Lie’

If you could put a price on this mixtape, how much would you pay?

In all honesty, I can’t really put a price on it, like I mentioned the mixtape became a soundtrack to my life and I still listen to it frequently to this day.

Did you have a physical copy?

I did not have a physical copy but I had it downloaded.

No? Which is your favourite that you have a physical copy of?

My favourite mixtape that I have a physical copy of is Drake’s ’If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’
