[STYLE] TRAPSTAR END THE YEAR IN AN INSPIRING FRENZY WITH ‘GIVE BACK DAY’

After an immensely eventful year of releases and activations, TRAPSTAR, the prolific London label conquering the global streetwear scene close the 2022 chapter with a public, charitable hand-out causing a real-life frenzy in the brand’s home turf, Shepards Bush & Hammersmith.

TRAPSTAR’S Independent roots give founder Will, Mikey & Lee the 360° vision of what culture means, and how to build a subculture in fashion without forgetting the struggles of making it out. The brand’s extensive family of rappers, creative talents and community leaders allowed TRAPSTAR to unite, and give back in overwhelming numbers. Deploying over TRAPSTAR troops, the street teams covered much-needed necessities like Christmas food, health essentials, warm clothing products, sleeping bags, and even specially-picked Christmas presents for underprivileged families in the W12 area.

In true TRAPSTAR fashion, each street event starts with a communal link-up. This time it took place in the well-known Shepards Bush market, before moving on to bigger open spaces due to the 4,000+ crowd in attendance. In a handful of blacked-out Mercedes sprinters, The Giveback day operation in full swing allowed the founders, and staff to combine in groups of street marshalls to ensure the give back applied to those who need it most, and importantly, in person with a warm welcome.

After the hand-out, TRAPSTAR later announced an official collaboration with spearheading designer

DAILY PAPER featuring a cameo from the illustrious UNKNOWN T. With an even busier 12 months ahead, the brand plans to champion more community-led activations across the UK, Europe, and Lagos, Nigeria set in place before the end of the upcoming summer.
