What’s your favourite mixtape ever?
‘Nostalgia Ultra’ by Frank Ocean.
Why is it so significant to you?
It’s such a perfect Pop project, the writing is simple but genius, the beats aren’t that wild but do all the right things. It deffo changed the way I make my music.
Were there any artists or producers that you discovered through this tape?
No.
Where exactly were you when you heard the mixtape for the first time?
In my house on a sunny day and my older brother played ‘Songs For Women’, I was like, “Yooo what is this?”
Did it come into your life at a significant time?
It came into my life when I was practicing and experimenting with different genres of music, so perfect timing really.
How did the mixtape cover make you feel?
It has a bright orange car on it so guess I knew it was gonna take me on an eventful journey.
Describe the mixtape in three words?
Feel-Good, Laid-Back, Nostalgic [laughs].
What song is your personal favourite?
‘Songs For Women’ or ‘Love Crimes’, can’t decide sorry.
If you could put a price on this mixtape, how much would you pay?
£80 but I’d want extra perks too, like a show or something.
Did you have a physical copy?
No, I wish I did.
No? Which is your favourite that you have a copy of?
I don’t have no physicals cos this is da digital era bbyyyyy!
